Wada Colors

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

Camera

Wada Colors uses your device's camera to sample colors from the world and match them to Sanzo Wada's color dictionary. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded, stored on a server, or shared with anyone.

Photos

When you choose to save a color sticker, the app writes the image to your Photos library. The app does not read your existing photos unless you explicitly pick one to scan, and any picked photo is processed on device only.

Your Saved Content

Your scans, favorited colors and combinations, and saved collections are stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data is also synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit in your private iCloud database. Synced data is stored under your Apple Account, is not visible to us or anyone else, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can disable iCloud sync for Wada Colors at any time in your device's Settings under iCloud.

Analytics

The app uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage and diagnostic data such as which features are used (e.g. scanning a color, favoriting a combination, sharing a sticker) and basic device information. This data is not linked to your identity and is used only to understand how the app is used and to improve it.

Accounts

Wada Colors does not require an account. No name, email, or other personal identifier is collected by the app.

Data You Control

You can delete any saved scan, favorite, or collection from inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

Wada Colors is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
